Kookaburra Wash is a plant-based alternative to "traditional" laundry detergents. Our unique blend of Tea Tree and Lanolin clean, deodorize, and soften all types of fibers (wool, cotton microfibers like Lycra, Spandex, and today's micro blends). The low suds, rinse optional concentrate is perfect for machine washing whether in a traditional or high-efficiency washer and is ideal for hand washing delicates and hand knits. Wash is hypoallergenic for those with detergent sensitivity. Kookaburra Wash is gentle on fibers, tough on stains and odors.
Kookaburra Wash cleans and conditions all washable sheepskins (medical underlays, heel/elbow protectors, baby pads /mattress covers, car seat covers, rugs).
Kookaburra Wash cleans and softens all types of fibers. Wash combines the deodorizing power of tea tree oil with the conditioning, fiber enhancing qualities of lanolin, coconut, and jojoba bean oils leaving your washables clean, fresh, and amazingly soft. Available in original floral, lavender, and no fragrance added. Our detergent free concentrate reduces fiber breakdown, limiting fading, extending the life of your washables.

How to machine wash: 1-2 oz in a "traditional", ½ - 1 oz in a HE washer. Kookaburra is effective at any temperature. With Kookaburra concentrate no additional softeners are required Hand wash - 1tsp (1/6th oz) in 1-2 gallons warm water. Add Wash to water immerse garment making sure there is complete saturation. Rinsing is optional. Sheepskin products - 2oz per skin to launder and maintain comfort and therapeutic properties.
Waking up happy after her first nap with Woolino! We absolutely love our 4 Season Ultimate Sleep Bags!! The material is soft and cozy, yet keeps my warm natured babe from sweating. We were recently without power for 53 hours after a hurricane and even though the house was 82 degrees, she wouldn’t fall asleep without having it on! I debated this purchase for a long time, but we love the fact she can use them until 2 years and hope to use them again with any future children. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely!!
I used this to hand wash a wool blanket I purchased from Woolino, and it smelled pretty good, though definitely powerful. However, the scent is much much less powerful after the item dries, which I find preferable. Hopefully using this will keep my products from Woolino in good condition for a long time!
Our 6 month babe gets overheated easily and she pulls at her clothing a lot (to try and suck on it...) so we needed a sleep sack that was more fitted up top and wouldn’t get too warm. Enter the woolino! I was hesitant because of the price, but when I learned it can be used until about age 2 I was sold. We’ve had it for 3 weeks now and our little one sleeps like a dream in it (11+ hours). It’s even a sleep cue for her now - the moment we lay it on her changing pad she starts rubbing her eyes and getting ready for sleep! I definitely recommend getting 2 (had a blowout her first night in it and it does take a while to clean/dry).
The woolino has really come to my rescue. I used to be stressed about my baby being too hot or too cold at night; I just couldn’t tell especially given that my husband and I always feel so different in the same room. The woolino is really great quality and soft and robust. It just feels like something you’d want to sleep in. I bought two since we still have the occasional leak at night and I want to be able to put her in another woolino while one is washing. I definitely recommend!
I bought the Woolino 4 season sleep bag with feet in grey for my 21 month old. I used the kookaburra Wool Wash with Lavender. It washed well and smells wonderful. It’s not too strong but you can smell the nice aroma of the lavender. Don’t forget to use air only mode (no heat) in the dryer. I am happy with my purchase and I love the sleep sack!!!! I use to use Halo sleepsacks but i wanted an alternative to polyester. I like how wool can keep my boy warm when it’s cold and cool when it’s warm. Bye bye polyester and hello organic cotton and wool :) highly recommend these products. They are more expensive and more high maintenance to clean and dry but it’s worth it and you don’t have to wash wool as often anyways.
I dii ok not really have anything to compare it to, it was my first time handwashing cashmere and merino. However, it did smell really nice and herbal and the sweaters were even softer when they dried. I washed them to get a musty smell out that airing out wasn’t helping and it worked, it didn’t leave a scent on the sweaters and got out the scent that was on them. I’d buy it again when I need it.
Smells SO good and is so easy to use! We own 3 sleep sacks, the lambskin rug, and the queen comforter so this was a must have to keep everything clean and well maintained!
I used the detergent for my son’s Woolino sleep sack and it worked beautifully! I especially love the easy measure bottle. It makes washing the sleep sack a breeze! I also would like to add that the Woolino customer service is wonderful!
Our 2yo daughter threw up all over her sheepskin. Our local dry cleaner said good luck, you're on your own. I got this soap and just ran it in our washing machine at home and then hung dry it. I think the sheepskin literally looks (and smells) better than new. Highly recommend.
I used it on my merino wool base layers for hunting. Used in washing machine on delicate. Came out of the washer having a little smell to the clothes. I laid flat to dry and came out excellent with no smell
Product has a pleasant, light odor, not over powering. I have wool batting in my quilts so I’m looking forward to using this wash for both our grandson’s sleep bags and the quilts.
Packaged well and shipped very fast! Seems to work great. I read reviews on Amazon that this was the true product and that Amazon was riddled with knock-offs. Definitely buy from here if you can!
I wasn’t able to use it because my son has a nut allergy but costumer service was wonderful! They quickly addressed my issue and gave me a refund. I have their blanket and two sleep sacks and they’re the only ones my son will use. Soft and high quality products with great costumer service!!
I just purchased this to clean my Woolino sleep sacks. It has a nice light scent, the sack felt clean and smooth. I had been using Woolite but I’m glad to be using a good baby safe product. Much better. And the bottle has a cool measuring cup to get your amounts right.
This was fine. I like and usually use The Laundress Wool & Comforter Shampoo, but I haven't done a cost comparison on the two, nor a comparison of the ingredients.
